Match report for Wilmslow Albion 1st Team 7 - 0 away defeat to Dukinfield Town (26/08/2008)
Tuesday nights performance against table toppers Dukinfield, was one of the most difficult to stomach. With 5 regular starters out, and half a team of inexperienced players, the 1st team suffered an empathtic defeat, 7-0. This did give me the oppurtunity to assess the capabilities of the squad, and frankly, it's not good enough. We were unfortunate to have a fixture away on a Tuesday night against (what turns out to be) one of the strongest sides in the league, so all in all, it was stacked against us.
With heads held high, the Albion go into Saturday's home game to Monton with a brighter injury outlook.With Marlon, Raynes, Brookes, Bradshaw all back, the team should be in better shape.
